Nickless
Nickless is a singer/songwriter, just 27 years old, comes from Zurich, has been on stage since he was twelve and shares a commonality with music legends such as Dave Grohl, Phil Collins and Don Henley. He began his musical career as a gifted drummer and then switched to the role of frontman and singer. Nickless learnt to play the drums at the age of 7 and then taught himself guitar and piano. He writes, composes and interprets his songs himself. The multi-instrumentalist is currently regarded as one of the most promising and talented young Swiss musicians. He had his first band at the age of 8 and gained his first stage experience as a drummer in the teen combo Klirrfaktor. After completing his regular schooling, Nickless worked as an assistant to the successful Swiss producer Thomas Fessler. He learnt the studio trade from the ground up at the place where the greats of the Swiss music business came and went. Nickless would not be the first musician whose career started as a "tea boy" in a studio and who eventually made his own way onto the big stage. With his first record deal in the bag, he released his debut single "Waiting" (Phonag Records) in 2015 at the age of just 19 and got off to a truly flying start. Nickless became one of the most successful Swiss newcomers almost overnight. The single "Waiting" became the most-played track by a Swiss artist on local radio in 2015, has sold over 20,000 copies to date, has gone gold and has been clicked on over 5 million times across all platforms. To top it all off, the public voted the single "Best Hit National" at the 2016 Swiss Music Awards. Nickless' subsequent first album reached number 4 in the official Swiss album charts and produced three more successful radio singles with "Princess", "Looking For Your Love" and "Clouds". This was followed by appearances as support for Marlon Roudette and Andreas Bourani, as well as at almost all major Swiss festivals such as Gurten, Heitere, Lumnezia, Stars In Town, NRJ Air and a first headlining club tour.
Rutinlega
Poppy arrangements, funky guitar sounds and synths characterise our music. As all the members sing, we often create songs with polyphonic passages. With our somewhat different kind of dialect music, we want to encourage the audience to dance and put everyone in a good mood, whether in the car, at work or at a live concert.
Rutinlega are a newcomer band from the canton of Zug who have been making music together since the beginning of 2023. They are currently in the studio recording their first album. The first single "s'blaue Meer" was released on 18 July.
